What they handle

Practice areas.

Most dwello clients work with Castle for residential closings and attorney review. But their breadth covers every real estate legal need.

Attorney review

Castle handles the Illinois 5-business-day attorney review on every contract — line-by-line.

Residential closings

From contract to clear-to-close to the signing table. Most dwello clients' primary use case.

FSBO contracts

Selling without an agent? Castle drafts and negotiates on your behalf.

Title issues

Liens, clouded title, heir property, probate sales — Castle clears them.

Commercial & investment

Duplex, small multi-family, commercial acquisitions — Gary's wheelhouse.

Zoning & land use

Variances, rezoning, development questions — for buyers thinking beyond the house.

The process

How Castle Law works with you.

Illinois real estate has its own rhythm. Here's what to expect from contract to closing.

01

Contract signed

Once you're under contract, Castle is introduced. Your attorney reviews the contract in full.

02

Attorney review

Illinois gives buyers and sellers 5 business days. Castle negotiates changes, clarifies language, and protects your interests.

03

Inspection negotiations

When issues turn up on inspection, Castle handles the repair credit or repair request negotiations with the other side's attorney.

04

Title & clear-to-close

Castle reviews the title commitment, resolves any issues, and coordinates with the lender's clear-to-close timeline.

05

Closing day

Your attorney is with you at the closing table, or virtually if you prefer. Documents signed, keys handed over, you're home.
